If you want to find out about the secretive and mysterious aspects of the history of the World War Two, you should definitely pay a visit to Wolf’s Lair. The former headquarters of Adolf Hitler are located in the heart of Masurian Province and can be easily reached from Warsaw.
The hidden city consists of nearly 200 buildings: shelters, barracks, two airports, a power station, a train station and waterworks. It is hard to believe that the Nazis managed to build it in such a short time and that they had thought of everything that can be needed and tried to prepare for every possibility. In 1944 there were two thousand people living in the complex! The Wolf’s Lair was also the scenery to an unsuccessful assassination attempt of Adolf Hitler. Many decisions regarding the strategy of the Nazi army were made here.
We provide a private tour, with car transportation and English-speaking local guide at the Wolf’s Lair. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes, as the sightseeing route includes walking around forest and spinneys. The tour takes approx. 10 hours’ time.
